Mecklenburg Couty Child, Family and Adult Services is set to host an event centered around options for families to “keep busy” over the summer.

The 11th annual Summer Experience Fair will take place on April 6 at the Valerie C. Woodard Center at 3205 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.

The drop-in fair will allow families to explore various summer camps and educational opportunities for children, teens and even parents to engage while school is out. Representatives from the YMCA, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and local “low-cost camps” will be present at the event, according to a press release sent Monday.

Attendees can expect free food, entertainment, onsite camp registration, day camp information for children and teens as well as community resources.

A parenting education workshop and information about summer jobs will also be available.
