WINGS for Kids SOAR Awards

Thursday, May 4, 2017
You are enthusiastically invited to join us for our inaugural event, The WINGS Charlotte SOAR Awards luncheon. The SOAR Awards are designed to showcase and celebrate advocates in our community who have championed equality in education, out-of-school time, and advocated on behalf of those less privileged. Seldom do we have the opportunity to honor individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to be agents for change!

In this, our inagugural event, WINGS will present SOAR Awards to:
The Honorable Jennifer Roberts Mayor of Charlotte
Debra Plousha Moore Systems Chief of Staff, Carolinas HealthCare Systems
Jay Everett Senior Vice President Community Affairs, Wells Fargo

We are also thrilled to announce that renowned scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr., an American literary critic, teacher, historian, filmmaker and public intellectual who currently serves as the Alphonse Fletcher University Professor and Director of the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University will serve as our keynote speaker.
