Why is it important to have a vision? How do you implement a vision and how is that tied to an ordinance?
Join us Thursday, March 22, for a presentation from Mitchell Silver, FAICP, former president of the American Planning Association, former chief planning and development officer for the City of Raleigh, and currently commissioner for the New York City Parks Department. As planning director in Raleigh, he led the comprehensive plan update process and a rewriting of the development code to for the 21st century. He is internationally recognized for his leadership in the planning profession and his contributions to contemporary planning issues.

Reception from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Mitchell Silver's presentation and a discussion from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m..
