Love Doesn’t Hurt… The Different Sides of Dating and Domestic Violence

On behalf of the Concord Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Fall Awareness Committee we would like to invite the community to participate in our Love Doesn’t Hurt…The Different Side of Dating and Domestic Violence Workshop. The seminar will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10am – 12:30pm (Registration begins at 9:30am) at McGill Baptist Church located at 5300 Poplar Tent Road in Concord, NC.

As an initiative of our Sorority, the Fall Awareness Community Forum seeks to educate, and facilitate lifestyle change for the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of both women and men. This year’s program brings together, professionals and representatives from different agencies in our community helping to Educate, Empower and Eradicate Domestic Violence. Seminar topics include: LoveIsRespect: Teen Dating Violence (Teens Only); LoveIsRespect II: Parents Let’s Talk: Not All Wounds Are Visible: In Her Shoes; Faith and Culture: Domestic Violence in African-American Relationships and the role of the church; Women Who Use Violence in Intimate Partner
