Keeping It Hot & Spicy

The new year is a time to set priorities and goals, and the doctors of Mintview OB/GYN think creating a healthy sex life should be at the top of that list — for everyone.

It’s time for adults to get real about creating the healthy sex life they want, need and deserve, says Dr. Alyse Kelly-Jones of Mintview OB/GYN. Join the conversation at Sex & Sensibility: Keeping It Hot & Spicy, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28 at Camp North End, 1824 Statesville Ave., Charlotte. Tickets are $10 per person and include appetizers and a swag bag.

Kelly-Jones, who spoke at TedX Charlotte on sexual shame, has spent the majority of her professional career working with women who are dealing with sexual dysfunction, especially low libido and painful sex. She has been featured in People Magazine, O Magazine, Redbook, Fitness and Women’s Health, among other publications. She says she’s found that the happiest women were those who actively sought out ways to work with her and take responsibility for their own health.

Kelly-Jones and her colleagues will use their forthright attitude about sex and sexual dysfunction to create a nonjudgmental environment for a night of honest discussion about all things sex and sensuality.

Among other topics the event will cover: how your bedroom impacts intimacy, spontaneous and responsive desire, orgasm, sexually transmitted diseases, protection and how to use sight, sound, touch and taste to enhance sensuality.

Tickets for the event — open to women, men and couples — are $10 per person and include appetizers.
