Your Opportunity to Explore Arts and Culture for Free

ASC returns with its fourth annual Connect with Culture Day this month and is offering the community even more ways to connect with Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s cultural community.

“We’re excited to host the largest Connect with Culture Day yet, including a Friday evening kickoff at select breweries and more than 60 free experiences throughout Mecklenburg County on Saturday,” said ASC President Robert Bush. “Everyone deserves to experience arts and culture regardless of where they live or what they can afford and that’s what Connect with Culture Day offers to our residents and visitors – dozens of opportunities to sample what the cultural community has to offer.”

New this year: Kick off Connect with Culture Day on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018

Free cultural experiences will take place at Clayworks, NoDa Brewing Company, Resident Culture Brewing and Lenny Boy Brewing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to kick off the weekend. Limited edition pint glasses featuring original art by local artist Emily Andress are available for $15 and include one drink ticket at the brewery of your choice (restrictions apply).

Cap off the evening at the Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts’ Latin Concert Series with Mariachis Gavilanes Gabriel at 9 p.m. and access to the galleries from 6 to 11 p.m. – free and open to the public.
