CMPD Sexual Assault Awareness Event

Saturday, April 1, 2017
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit will host the 2nd annual 5k Run/Zumba Event to bring awareness to sexual assaults.

Every 98 seconds, a person experiences some type of sexual assault. Sexual violence affects hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. In most cases rapes are often not reported out of fear and shame.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, so please come out and support our event as we bring awareness and prevention to our community.

Come out wearing teal colors to support this worthy cause.

Registration starts at 9:00 a.m., and the event begins at 10:15 a.m. The run will be routed through the Greenville community.

Don’t Be Silent. Stand Up. Speak Out.
