50 Years: Dr. King’s “Then” and Our “Now”
An Experience to Acknowledge, Inspire and Engage
Join us in commemorating the Life and Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the signing of the Fair Housing Act. Honor local Civil Rights activists and organizations that promote fair housing in our community.

Wednesday, April 25, 2018
6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Covenant Presbyterian Church
1000 East Morehead Street. Charlotte. 28204

Engage in Dialogue with others about Dr. King’s “Then” and our “Now”, and Live Music from the new Rhythm & Blues opera by Opera Carolina opening in May.

I Dream focuses on the final 36 hours of Dr. King’s remarkable life, with daydreams of his childhood and flashbacks to the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement. It is a story of Courage, Leadership, and Family in the face of a higher calling, often set at odds with a society that sees otherwise. It is a story about yesterday for today.
