Food, wine, arts and more are all leading themes this spring in Charlotte and local festivals are the proof. Here’s what to expect this season:

Charlotte Fair (March 24 – April 2)

The 14th annual event happens over one week and has rides, a petting zoo, food and performances.

Charlotte SHOUT! (March 31 – April 16)

Charlotte’s celebration of arts — including music, performance and visual arts, and more — will happen over 17 days. Art installations also pop up city-wide and in Uptown.

Charlotte StrEATS Festival (April 15 – 16)

The street food festival (part of Charlotte SHOUT) celebrates chefs and individual neighborhood culinary scenes.

BOOM Charlotte (April 21 – 23)

Experience art from every corner of Charlotte’s creative community. The multi-day festival celebrates some of Charlotte’s most diverse artforms.

University Wine Fest (May 6)

Live music, photo opportunities, and lots of wines, ciders and brews come together with food and shopping.

Carolina BBQ Fest (May 7)

Guests can to expect to have their fill of regional Carolina barbecue dishes at Camp North End. Expect to taste mustard-based meats from South Carolina or vinegar-based pulled barbecue from western North Carolina.

Charlotte Brunch Festival (May 20)

Live entertainment and brunch food favorites for purchase make up this event.
