In 2023, lots of popular comedians have shows planned in Charlotte. Some of the funniest people visit the Queen City in hopes of making us laugh.
Here’s what we know so far:
Feb. 17 – Katt Williams: 2023 and Me Tour
The veteran comedian and multi-comedy-special-having showman has a signature: his energy on stage. In addition to telling jokes, Katt Williams has been known the entire stage and even act out scenes. Guests can expect a similar style on this tour. Tickets are on sale for as low as $64.
Feb. 22 – Chris Rock: Ego Death World Tour
Chris Rock is widely held among the “greats” in comedy. His standup career and popular tv show “Everybody Hates Chris” has kept audience laughing since His upcoming show is nearly sold out, but limited tickets are available starting at $335.
Feb. 24 – Tony Rock at the Comedy Zone
Actor, comedian and comedy show host Tony Rock has been in standup since the late 90’s and knows how to keep a crowd’s attention. His upcoming show has tickets available for $22.
Mar. 16 – Nick Cannon’s Next Superstar Tour
Nick Cannon has built an empire around creating opportunities for up-and-coming comedians and this tour — with a stop at The Underground — is no different. Guests can expect rising stars as well as talent they may be familiar with from “MTV’s Wild’n’Out” like Justina Valentine and Hitman Holla . Tickets are available for as low as $40.50.
Apr. 1 – Adele Givens at the Comedy Zone
Adele Given’s standup career began in 1990 and she’s been making audiences double with laughter since then. Tickets start at $25.
Apr. 21 – Druski: Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda Tour
Druski is well-known for being one of the funniest people on the internet. His skits, re-enactments and series of characters has kept the online community entertained since 2017. Now, he’s taking up standup comedy with a tour stop at Ovens’ Auditorium. Tickets are available from $40.75.
July 13-16 – Donnell Rawlings at the Comedy Zone
Donnell Rawlings, comedian and actor, grew in popularity after his sketches on “Chapelle’s Show.” Since then, he’s gone on to appear in films and tour throughout the world. His show has tickets for $25 and up.
July 16 – 85 South Show
The trio that consists of Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly and Chico Bean will host their live, unscripted-style comedy show at Bojangles Coliseum. Guests can expect them to interact with and draw inspiration from, the audience in real time. Tickets begin at $35.50.
Aug. 4-6 – D.L. Hughley at the Comedy Zone
One of the original “Kings of Comedy,” D.L. Hughley is well-known for saying what’s on his mind and making people laugh at it. He’ll be in Charlotte with tickets starting at $35.
