June 14 and 16: (Cinergy Dine-In Cinemas Kids Summer Movie Series) Every Tuesday and Thursday, from June 7th to August 9th, 2022, Cinergy is showing kids’ movies at 10 a.m. Tickets are just $1.50 for kids and $2 for adults.
June 15: (Charlotte Knights vs. Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp) Come root on the local baseball squad and remember to beat the heat with their drink specials.
June 15 and 17 (Free Lunchtime Walking Tours at Camp North End): On Wednesdays and Fridays at 12pm, the Camp North End team will lead a 30 minute stroll through the highlights of this 76-acre, historic industrial site.
June 16: Season 6 of the Queen City Urban Art Showcase presents “Trap & Paint (Comedy + Hookah Edition)” every Thursday! Sip & Paint to hard hitting trap music. Located in the newest Hookah Lounge in Charlotte. Music by the best DJ’s in town and $5 Ciroc make this a must attend event! Limited space available so get your tickets asap.
June 16: Juneteenth Spades Tournament: Come celebrate Juneteenth by engaging in one of our most hidden cultural treasures, Spades! $20 registration fee for each team of two. Players must arrive on time to review game rules. $200 cash prize for top team!
June 16: Woman to Woman presents Painting with Purpose: Network, Paint, Drink, and Eat at this woman-only event.
June 16 – 19 (House of Africa: Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas) The major intent of the festival is to examine the cultural heritage of enslaved Africans and their descendants through art, education, and research.
June 17 (Black Food Truck Friday) Black Food Truck Fridays gives local residents the opportunity to taste an array of cuisines ranging from seafood, to soul-food, to amazing desserts (and everything in-between). Pull up and get you a plate!
