The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide Sunday in south Charlotte.
According to a statement by CMPD, shortly after midnight, officers, Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at Granite Point Apartment Homes
When they arrived, MEDIC located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.
