More than 600 people dressed in black-tie with their freshest sneakers for the 12th Annual Hornets Heroes Gala on Oct. 19 at the Spectrum Center. In addition to raising funds for the Charlotte Hornets Foundation, the event also recognized several honorees for their contributions to the Charlotte community, including Foundation For The Carolinas President/CEO Michael Marsicano; Springs Close Foundation Chairwoman Anne Springs Close; the Life Event Services Team at Bank of America; and Dr. Michael S. Hoben, senior physician executive in Novant Health Medical Group.
