High school students, families and community leaders heard from alumni and representatives on behalf of 21 historically Black colleges and universities at Congresswoman Alma Adams’ first HBCU Day on Sept. 7 at West Charlotte High School. Celebrity Charlotte residents Dutchess Lattimore and Chef Kevin Winston shared how their HBCU experiences helped shape them into successful entrepreneurs.
