A man in a wheelchair died late Saturday after he was struck by a car traveling on W. Sugar Creek Road.
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
According to CMPD, the incident happened sometime around 11:20 p.m. in the 600 block of W. Sugar Creek Rd., near Argyle Drive.
Police said the victim was in the roadway when he was stuck by a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by a 44-year-old woman. The Toyota stopped and was then struck by a second car.
The man died shortly after reaching a hospital. Investigators said he was not using a designated crosswalk.
No one in either car was injured, and CMPD said neither speed nor alcohol was a factor in the crash.
