One person shot at Concord Mills movie theater

Officials said the shooting incident resulted from an argument over seating inside of the AMC movie theater in Concord Mills Mall.

One man was shot at the Concord Mills movie theater on Sunday evening, according to Concord police.

Around 6 p.m., authorities responded to a shooting at the AMC Theaters at Concord Mills Mall where a male victim had suffered from a single gunshot wound. His injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.

Officials said the incident resulted from an argument over seating inside of the theater.

Police described the suspect as a black male with short dreads wearing a black-and-white striped shirt while in the company of a black female. They don’t believe that the victim and suspect knew each other.

Both the movie theater and the mall closed as a result of the shooting.
