Did you hear: The Third Annual International Sandwich Festival is scheduled for Saturday.
The festival will feature cuisines from local restaurants and food trucks, including A Piece of Havana, Arepadas, Chaupaati, Hiya Food truck and Yummi Banh Mi.
There won’t be a shortage of music either, as R&B singer Persona Bell will be there to entertain the crowd. Other music acts will include Flavors of India Dance and UNC Charlotte’s Voices of Eden Mass Choir.
With free face-painting, balloon artists, and henna tattoo artists, there will be something for your whole family to enjoy. The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. at the Aldersgate Senior Living Community and runs until 6 p.m.
Comedy in the Qcity
In the mood for a good laugh? Comedian Mike Epps will be in townFriday performing during his Platinum Comedy Tour. Special guests include Rickey Smiley, DeRay Davis, Tony Rock, Michael Blackson and more. Be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

In addition to the food trucks, R&B songstress Persona Bell is back by popular demand. This year also includes more activities for the kids, with free face-painting, balloon artistry and henna tattoos. Chirl Girl from Old School 105.3 FM will be there doing a remote. More info.
