CMPD identified Charlotte’s latest homicide victim as a 17-year-old boy who was shot outside a convenience store early Sunday.

At 12:15 a.m., police were called to a QT Station at 5209 Central Avenue, where they found Daquan Shannon with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was taken by MEDIC to Carolinas Medical Center – Main, where he died.

CMPD did not name or suspect or release a suspected motive for the killing.
