All week long is Black Restaurant Week in the Qcity.

We’ve got Queen’s Feast and other food celebrations, but little to celebrate the city’s growing list of black-owned restaurants – until now.

Charlotte Black Restaurant Week will run Monday though Sunday and will feature 21 participating restaurants offering customers discounts of 25-50 percent.

Black Restaurant Week was started this year by Black Business Owners of Charlotte, a group formed to funnel more community dollars to black-owned businesses.

On Friday, the group will host a food truck event at Three Spirits Brewery, the city only black-owned brewery.
