Wow! What a Week
President Trump took time out of his schedule to visit sunny Puerto Rico. Although the island was in despair with no power or drinkable water, Trump had time to practice his jump shot. Based on what I saw, he needs to apologize to Steph Curry and get him to the White House ASAP.
And here we go….
Oh Cam….
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton made a sexist comment to a full-time reporter and part-time racist Jourdan Rodrigue. Rodrigue asked him a question about running routes and he said “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes.” Not to be outdone, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White caped up to defend Cam. White said it was funny the first time hearing it from a woman as well. In 1978, Jayne Kennedy became the first African-American female to host “The NFL Today”. In 1987, Gayle Sierens became the first woman to do play-by-play for an NFL football game. Is 2017 the first time we heard a woman talk about running routes? I don’t think so and neither does Dannon Yogurt.
Peace Out
Republican Congressman Tim Murphy plans to retire at the end of his term. Murphy, who opposes abortion rights, wanted his mistress to have an abortion. Just this week Murphy voted to ban abortions after 20 weeks. The Republicans don’t believe that the married Murphy can win again if he runs. A sexually repressed Republican male politician who plays up his family-man status while sneaking off into the arms of his jump-off. Really? I’m shocked!
Peas in the Pod
Steve Bannon has decided not to go gently into that good night. He is going to lend his talents to convicted felon Michael Grimm from New York City. Grimm was a former congressman who represented Staten Island before he went to jail for tax evasion, hiring undocumented immigrants and perjury. Grimm spent a WHOLE 8 MONTHS in jail after being convicted. Bannon is on a semi-hot streak since supporting Judge Roy Moore in his Alabama Senate win. Since Grimm and Bannon both were in situations where people around them felt trapped, they should have a lot in common. Grimm was in jail and Bannon worked for the Trump
administration.
Rex’s Foul Mouth
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson came out strongly in his support for the Trump Administration and to let us know that media reports on their rift were erroneous. It was reported that Tillerson called Trump a “moron” in a fit of anger. The media was waiting on him to deny the report, but he side-stepped the question. I’m actually shocked that Tillerson only “possibly” called him that. I would imagine that working for him would have you cursing like a sailor.

Musician B.o.B. has started a GoFundMe campaign to see if planet Earth is actually round. In 2016, he ran around telling anyone who would listen that the earth is flat. People who think the earth is flat (yes there is a lot of them) would see more of a curve in their daily lives. They just can’t fathom that the earth is round when all they see is a flat surface. This has inspired me to follow my dream and start a GoFundMe campaign to prove that chocolate milk comes from chocolate cows.
Not my co-host
It was reported that Kelly Ripa told Ryan Seacrest (both of “Live with Kelly and Ryan”) to not go on Wednesday’s show of “Good Morning America.” Apparently, she is still mad at Michael Strahan for leaving her in the lurch to work for GMA. I hope this works out because I would hate for her to audition co-hosts again. The last thing I want to see is an O.J. Simpson audition tape.

The vicious murders by American terrorist Stephen Paddock this week has brought back a debate that will eventually fall on deaf ears. It’s time for people to stop talking and come up with real solutions about gun control. May the families of the victims find peace and comfort during their time of grief.
