CMPD is investigating a fatal shooting that was reported in the Washington Heights community in Northwest Charlotte.
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
The shooting was reported at 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Rosetta Street, near Beatties Ford Road. When officers arrived, they found a man shot to death inside a vehicle — the city’s 64th homicide of 2017.
Police made no reference to a suspect or possible motive.
