A fight inside a video gaming parlor ended early Wednesday when one of the men involved was shot to death – the city’s 59th homicide of 2017.
Just after midnight, police were called to a business in the 5600 block of Albemarle Road in southeast Charlotte where the victim was killed.
CMPD, in a statement, said the trouble started when two men inside the business got into a dispute.
“The victim went outside and returned with a handgun, and pointed it at the other patron. A third subject observed the altercation and fired his handgun at the victim,” the statement read.
Police withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
One person was taken to police headquarters for questioning, the statement said. CMPD said no other suspects were being sought.
WSOC identified the business as Queen City Skillsville.
