Police investigate killing in southeast Charlotte

When officers around they found a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead late Tuesday in southeast Charlotte.

Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.

The shooting was reported at 7:18 p.m. in the 6700 block of E. Independence Boulevard. When officers around they found a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
