Here are two events we’d like to highlight this week:
The first is Listen Up Charlotte, presented by the Charlotte Symphony, in partnership with A Sign of the Times and the Levine Museum of the New South. This FREE community event will employ music and storytelling to tackle issues of discrimination and inequality. Two performances — one tonight at First Baptist Church-West at 7:30 p.m., and another on Sunday at Providence Day School at 6 p.m.
Then at 1 p.m. on Saturday, award-winning photographer Zun Lee will be at the Harvey B. Gantt Center, where he will sign copies of his book and talk about his signature art — photos depicting the loving nature of black fathers — which is on exhibition at the Gantt. Here is a Q&A I did with Lee.

‘Wilmington on Fire’
