The Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Deltas of Charlotte Foundation held its 53rd annual Debutante Cotillion on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Dressed in elegant, formal gowns, 34 Debutantes raised $169,827.35
Of that number, 22 were awarded college scholarships, and three non-profits – Big Brothers Big Sisters, Council of Children’s Rights and Florence Critten Services — received a contribution toward their local programming.
At the conclusion of the evening, Eboni Turner, a student at Olympic High School, was named Ms. Debutante.
