Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating the city’s second homicide this week – a Thursday morning shooting in south Charlotte that left a man dead.
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
Police got a call at 4:44 a.m. about a robbery in the 6600 block of Fishers Farm Lane, just north of Interstate 485. When officers arrived, they found a male inside an apartment with a gunshot would. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
CMPD offered few details about the killing, including information about a potential suspect, or whether the shooter and victim knew one another.
