One man is dead and two people are injured following a shooting late Friday in southwest Charlotte.
The dead man was identified as 22-year-old Bryan Ja’Quan Thompson.
The shooting was reported at 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of Yorkdale Drive.
When police arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. A third person victim had run from the scene and was found a short distance away.
All were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where Thompson later died.
CMPD did not release the names of the other victims or offer a potential motive for the shooting.
