Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a case of vehicular hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead in east Charlotte.
The victim was identified as Corey Brown, 25.
Shortly before 6:13 p.m. Sunday, CMPD officers got a call about a person lying on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of Lawyers Road. Paramedics pronounced the person, identified as Brown, dead at the scene.
Police said evidence found at the location indicated that Brown was struck by a vehicle and landed on the sidewalk after the collision.
The driver kept going after the crash, police said. As of late Sunday, investigators had not determined the make or model of the car.
