CMPD is investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Thursday in the 4400 block of Eddleman Road, just off Freedom Drive in West Charlotte.
The department got a call about the shooting around 2:45 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities withheld the victim’s name pending notification of family members.
CMPD did not release information about a suspect or possible motive.
