Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man late Sunday on suspicion of murder following a fatal shooting inside a north Charlotte strip club.
Police identified the suspect as Wade Adam Mosley, 27, who was charged with shooting Gregory Spearman, 34, inside Lust of Charlotte, which is located at the corner of Atando Avenue and N. Tryon Street.
Police were called to the club at 3:37 a.m. Sunday about an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived they found a man, later identified as Spearman, with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Carolinas Medical Center.
A CMPD spokesman said evidence gathered during the investigation led detectives to identify Mosley as a suspect in the shooting. He was arrested without incident late Sunday by the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team and charged with murder.
