Last weekend a friend was live on Facebook at what appeared to be a fun wine-tasting event, so I quickly detoured from running my errands.
I’ve been to several wine tastings, but I’d never attended the one at 201 Central in the Highland Creek area. I was surprised to find a huge selection of wine, beer and appetizers. You definitely need to put this venue on your to-do list for Friday fun.
Not wanting to travel far for dinner after the wine tasting, I walked over to Three Amigos Mexican Grill. This venue has been in the area for 18 months. The food was amazing and the portions were impressive. Did I mention that Friday night was $5 margarita night? Well, it’s safe to assume that I’ll be back much sooner then later.
Last weekend also showcased the opening of two movies. The electrifying film “Moonlight” definitely was a must-see film. If you didn’t catch it last weekend, no worries. It’s still playing this weekend, too. I also checked out the film “Almost Christmas,” starring Danny Glover and Monique. It definitely warms the heart and will keep you laughing for the upcoming holiday season.
Now for my weekend picks. I hope to see you on the town.
