Monday – Toussaint Romain, the Mecklenburg County Public Defender who served as a peacekeeper between protestors and police last month in Uptown Charlotte, is hosting “Where Do We Go From Here?” at Queens University. Romain will discuss insights from what he witnessed during the protests and moving forward as a city. (Details)

Wednesday – For the past 40 years, State of Black America has debuted in Washington, D.C. This year will be the first that the annual symposium branches off into new markets, and at the request of Urban League of Central Carolinas, it’s coming to Charlotte and free to attend. (Details)
