Some therapists recommend adult coloring books because they help us achieve mindfulness. Being mindful means that you are living in the present, not stressing about things that are beyond your current environment. Absent of worry, your brain begins to refresh and recharge. (Also, it is a nice throwback to a sweet moment from your childhood.)

Personally, I love them. I discovered adult coloring books from a coworker who gave me a page to try. After a few minutes, I was hooked. I just felt relaxed. They are a great boredom-buster, too!
