A 17-year-old male was arrested Wednesday on suspicion that he used a BB gun to shoot out the window of a school bus carrying 47 elementary students.
The shooting was reported to police at 8:48 a.m. in the 2100 block of Dion Avenue, near Independence Boulevard. No one on the bus was injured.
CMPD said the bus was taking students to Idlewild Elementary when one of its windows was shot out.
Police did not immediately release the suspect’s name but said he was arrested inside a home about a block from where the shooting happened. A CMPD spokesman said officers found a BB gun inside the home.
