Heart Math Tutoring, a nonprofit dedicated to helping students in high-poverty schools develop math skills and academic confidence, has hired Amy Sinclair as development director.
Sinclair, who worked at Charlotte Rescue Mission, will lead Heart’s fundraising strategies, including work surrounding foundation and corporate relations.
At Charlotte Rescue Mission, she managed corporate and foundation relations and was a special events coordinator. She also served as an event planner for Something Classic Catering and Cafés.
Sinclair graduated with a bachelor of science in psychology and a minor in Spanish from Davidson College. She is active with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and looks forward to volunteering as a tutor with Heart this fall.
Heart seeks to fulfill its mission by helping schools use volunteers as tutors, who commit one hour per week to deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions during the school day in Title I elementary schools.
