For the second straight day, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police in the Metro division are investigating a shooting death.
The latest killing was reported Wednesday at 3:18 a.m. in the 600 block of Grandin, where officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, police were called to the 1900 block of Newcastle Street, also in the Metro division, to investigate a shooting. That victim also was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not immediately release the name of either victim, pending family notifications.
CMPDās Metro division lies just north and northwest of uptown Charlotte and includes the Beatties Ford Road corridor.
