Lisa Hoffman, associate director of McColl Center for Art + Innovation, has been named executive director of Alliance of Artists Communities in Providence, R.I.
Her last day at McColl Center will be June 30.
“It is an honor to be selected,” Hoffman said in a statement released by McColl Center. “I have long been inspired and energized by the great work of the Alliance and its membership.
The Alliance is an international network of artists residency programs, about 80 percent of which are based in North America but also includes countries such as Taiwan, Italy and France. The Alliance sponsors training sessions and conferences and does research in ways to support artists.
At McColl Center, Hoffman led many of the organization’s flagship programs, including the Innovation Institute and its environmental artist-in-residence program.
“Lisa has done tremendous work and accomplished so much at McColl Center over the last three and a half years,” said Suzanne Fetscher, McColl Center’s president and CEO. “We are proud of her and grateful for the contributions she has made to the organization. We will miss her and wish her great success and happiness in the next chapter of her career.”
