That's me with Katy. She owns a tie-dye business and was one of the vendors at last weekend's Hippie Festival.

What is Hip? The Hippie Festival, where tons of vendors and activities awaited to feed your inner hippie, was the place to be last weekend. Located on the old Eastland Mall site and presented by Charlotte Open Air Market, the event provided free admission, free parking and tons of fun for the whole family. Make sure to check out my new friend Katy’s tie-dye selections on line.  It’s safe to assume I definitely had a groovy time and look forward to next year!

Shout out to all the mothers and mother-like figures this weekend. And a special Mother’s Day wish to my mother, Charnette Banks.

Now for my weekend picks. I hope to see you on the town.
