Three times is definitely a charm when it comes to the movie “Barbershop.”

Last week I caught a screening of “Barbershop: The Next Cut,” which opens April 15. In this latest film, Calvin (Ice Cube), Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer) and the rest of the posse must work to save the shop and the neighborhood from gangs that roam the streets.

Newcomer Nicki Minaj adds a lot of flavor, but fan favorite pretty boy Michael Early had to pass this time because of a scheduling conflict with the film “The Perfect Guy.”

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, as it touched on gang activity, the Charleston 9, the bonds that keep strong relationships together and much more. I give it two thumbs up and a snap!

Now for my weekend picks.
