A 20-year-old woman is dead following a single-vehicle crash late Wednesday in northeast Charlotte. Police identified the victim as Haylee Christine Hilton.

According to police reports, Hamilton was driving a 2013 Hyundai northbound in the 700 block of Pavilion Boulevard, just beyond the Interstate 485 beltway, shortly after 5:30 p.m., when she drove off the right side of the roadway and into a culvert. The vehicle went airborne and come to rest on its roof.

Hilton was not wearing a seatbelt and was pinned inside of the vehicle, police said. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
