NAACP members from across North Carolina will gather in Raleigh on Saturday, January 23, for a one-day training session focused on voter turnout for the November election.
The Annual Winter Training Session will convene members and leaders from nearly 100 NAACP branches. Eddie S. Glaude Jr., a professor of religion and chair of African American studies at Princeton University, will deliver a luncheon address, and N.C. Rep. Henry M. “Mickey” Michaux of Durham will receive a “Humanitarian of the Year” award.
