I love going to the movies, but I find myself perturbed by the new system that requires you to pick your seat before entering the theater. Sitting next to a stranger in a reclining chair is just a bit too close for comfort. I’ve experienced snoring, corn chip-smelling feet, and the nonstop dry cougher. Call me old fashion, but this gal needs her space. I prefer having options. My money, my seat, so give me what I want.
Speaking of movies, I enjoyed “Creed,” staring Michael B. Jordan. You’ll definitely want to check it out if you haven’t already.
This past weekend I participated in the Spirit of Christmas at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. More than 200 church volunteers spread joy by feeding, clothing, and giving toys to more than 500 families in need. Definitely makes me appreciate the reason for the season.
It’s the last weekend before Christmas and, of course, our Carolina Panthers are still pounding! I hope you are enjoying those tailgating parties and those Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Now for my weekend picks.
