Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who left a 19-year-old pedestrian in critical condition early Wednesday.
The incident was reported at 1:04 a.m. in the 4400 block of Pineville-Matthews Road in south Charlotte.
Police identified the victim as Jeanny Phara Lamartiniere. She was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with injuries described by CMPD as life threatening.
A witness told police the car that struck Lamartinier was a burgundy-colored, two-door Nissan with a rear spoiler and dark, tinted windows. Investigators say the car will be missing its driver’s side mirror and possibly have damage to the front driver’s quarter panel, turn signal and driver’s door.
