A man who was arrested on suspicion that he robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Park Road also has been charged with an Oct. 12 shooting that injured a man in the parking lot of a Bank of America branch on Beatties Ford Road.

Police identified the suspect as Anthony Leon Bost, 29.

According to CMPD, Bost, who was already in jail charged with the Wells Fargo robbery, was charged in the Bank of America case as well.

Police said the victim, who managed a business, was attempting to deposit proceeds from the business when a man approached him in the Bank of America parking lot and demanded the money. When the victim refused, the suspect shot him and drove away. The bank was closed at the time in observance of Columbus Day.

According to Mecklenburg jail records, Bost was charged with several counts related to the shooting, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury.
