A 64-year-old woman died Monday following a head-on car crash in the 800 block of East Woodlawn Road.

Police identified the victim as Jean Jacobs Wilson. She was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

According to an initial report, at 3:19 p.m., Wilson was driving a 2006 Lexus east on East Woodlawn when she crossed the center line and collided with a 2015 Cadillac SRX driven by Joan Phillips McDonald, 49.

McDonald, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries that were not thought to be life threatening.

The driver of a third car, Kevin Lee Barnhill, 47, suffered minor injuries when his 2014 Toyota Highlander sideswiped the Lexus after the initial collision.

Police said alcohol and speed did not appear to be factors in the crash.
