Police were investigating a killing Sunday evening in the 2300 block of Vanderbilt Road in North Charlotte.
Police were called to the location at 7:05 p.m. When officers arrived, the found a man inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as David Reginald Griffin, 41.
Vanderbilt Road is just north or uptown Charlotte, off Statesville Road in the Druid Hills community.
