More than 100 people registered for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Second Biennial Golf Classic at The Golf Club at Ballantyne.
About 11,500 members of the sorority are in Charlotte this week for the group’s biennial convention — its 66th Boule.
Proceeds from the golfing event go to the sorority’s educational advancement foundation, which is AKA’s arm for giving out grants and scholarships.
TV One commentator Roland Martin flew in to serve as celebrity golfer.
