Alix Lambert’s feature length film: Bayou Blue & ArtVee Installation
A Ulysses: 2014 Charlotte Festival of the Arts event.
In conjunction with the Ulysses Festival’s theme: 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights movement, the Center will be reactivating Samantha Hill’s: Reflections in the Moment installation in Jason McDonald’s ArtVee viewing space (located on the Center’s front lawn).
The Center will also be hosting the screening of current Artist-in-Resident Alix Lambert, and David McMahon’s film: Bayou Blue. This documentary film “reconstructs the events” of 23 serial murders between the years of 1997 – 2006 in southeastern Louisiana. The film examines the many factors that caused the 9-year span of time for the local police to apprehend the perpetrator, and also includes interviews with police, background on the victims and their families as well as recorded audio interrogations of the killer.
Please be advised that due to the subject matter of Bayou Blue, the screening may not be suitable for all audiences.
