Davidson Community Players’ powerful play about African American women who settled land in the West, continues its run at Armour Street Theatre. The play is a story about family, about the experience and love shared by the four female characters. Its backdrop is Nicodemus, Kansas in 1898.
Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established in 1965 to produce theatre that entertains, enriches and encourages community participation in the dramatic arts. Now in its 49th season DCP is the 2011 winner of the North Carolina Theatre Conference “Community Theatre of the Year” award and most recently, seven 2012 MTA awards for our productions of Crazy for You and Rumors.
