Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rho Psi Omega Chapter is pleased to host an Affordable Care Act Forum and free healthcare screenings. The event will be moderated by the Honorable Ty Hands and will feature a team of Affordable Health Care Navigators who will share information and respond to questions. The panelists include Mark Van Arnam of Get Covered America, Laura McClettie, Affordable Care Act Specialist with CW Williams Health Care Center, NC House of Representatives Kelly Alexander, District 107 & Carla Cunningham, District 106, and noted healthcare professionals.
Attendees will be able to review coverage options and apply for the most appropriate plan. Citizens who do not have healthcare are encouraged to come and review their options and get coverage before the enrollment deadline on March 31, 2014.
FREE blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings will began at 11:15AM and will continue throughout the event. Registration is not required to attend the Forum.
